We're glad we got home a few days ahead of schedule, to have time to unpack and sort things out before Tropical Storm Hanna blew in. We also were able to ride a metric century (100 k/62 mi) the other day, from our house to Bethesda, some laps around Haine's Point and home.
The drive home was mostly uneventful... we ended up doing 2 very long days from COS, and landed in WV the second night. We aren't very familiar with that part of WV and all we had was the AAA map of the state. We ended up driving around in circles on narrow, winding roads to find a decent campground. The 3rd day was only a 4.5 hour drive though.
New this year was a huge wind farm in Kansas.
